Torreblanca

Torreblanca

Torreblanca is situated on the coast of the Castellón province, in the region of Plana Alta, between the municipalities of Cabanes, Benlloch and Alcalà de Chivert.

To the south of the Sierra de Irta, in the heart of the Costa del Azahar, is Torreblanca, a name which is traditionally believed to have come from one of the old watchtowers: La Torre de Doña Blanca. Its Mediterranean climate, sea air, very pleasant temperatures even in winter and the coastal mountain range that goes from north-east to south-west act as a screen that blocks out cold air and provides shelter from northern and western winds, like a curtain. You can reach this town from Castellón by taking the N-340 or the AP-7 motorway (exit 44).
