Tinença de Benifassà Natural Park


Declared a Natural Park in 2006, the Tinença de Benifassà Natural Park is located in the north of Castellón and extends between the regions of Els Ports and El Baix Maestrat.

The landscape of the area is made up of steep mountain ranges, beech, pine and boxwood forests located at an altitude of 1,300 metres. The area is ideal for hiking, as there are several routes to explore the surroundings, such as the Mas Boix woods route or the Ulldecona reservoir route.

Also worth a visit are the villages in the area such as Bel, El Ballestar, Boixar, Castell de Cabres, Coratxà, Fredes and La Pobla de Benifassà.
