Alfaz del Pi

Alfaz del Pi

L’ Alfàs del Pi originated as an inland fortified settlement to defend against attacks from Barbary pirates.

It has a population of 12,547, of which 6,000 are foreigners from 54 different nationalities.

2km from the town centre, you will find the Playa del Albir, right next to the Sierra Helada. It is a pebble beach with all kinds of amenities and forms a large part of the town’s leisure facilities. Near the lighthouse, there is anunrestricted nudist beach.

The promenade is called the Paseo de las Estrellas (‘Walk of the Stars’) because it is studded with the names of famous actors who have passed through L’ Alfàs del Pi at the Film Festival that is held every July.
